The approach

Real coaching, wherever you sing

Online voice lessons work. The plan, the feedback and the hour are the same as an in-studio lesson — the only difference is where you're standing when you sing. For a lot of students, singing from home actually helps: no drive, no rush, and a familiar room where it's easier to relax.

Every online student starts with an honest assessment of their voice. Vicki listens to your range, tone and breath, asks what you want to sing, and builds a plan around you. Then you meet weekly over Zoom to work on technique, songs and performance.

Online lessons are a great fit for singers outside Jacksonville, busy parents and professionals, students who travel, and anyone who'd rather not sing in front of someone in person just yet.

What you need

  • A computer, tablet or phone with Zoom
  • A stable internet connection
  • A quiet room where you're comfortable singing out
  • Headphones are optional but helpful when singing with a track

“I don't teach a curriculum. I teach the voice that walks in the door.”

— Vicki Lee, vocal coach since 2004
What you'll work on

What online lessons cover

Nearly everything you'd work on in the studio.

Breath support and control

The foundation of every lesson, and one that translates perfectly over video.

Pitch, range and tone

Exercises tailored to your voice, with real-time correction as you sing.

Song coaching

Bring the songs you want to sing in any style — country, pop, worship, musical theatre and more.

Audition and performance prep

Song choice, cuts and rehearsing the performance before an audition or gig.

Practice you can actually do

Short, specific practice routines between lessons, so progress keeps going all week.

Switch to in-studio anytime

If you're near Jacksonville, you can mix online and in-studio lessons as your schedule changes.

Common questions

Before you book

Are online voice lessons as effective as in-person lessons?

For most students, yes. The plan, feedback and hour are the same. The only things you give up are the recording booth and in-room posture correction.

Where do I need to live to take online lessons?

Anywhere with a good internet connection. Lessons are scheduled Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 8 PM Eastern, so Vicki can work across U.S. time zones.

How are online lessons booked and paid?

Online lessons are booked in 60-minute blocks and paid in advance before the first session.

What if my internet or Zoom cuts out mid-lesson?

Email or call Vicki directly and she'll arrange a make-up session.

Can I take group lessons online?

Group lessons are currently in-studio only. Online lessons are one-on-one.

Can I switch to in-studio lessons later?

Yes. Many students move between online and in-studio lessons as their schedule or location changes.

Ready when you are
